Will there ever be a blockbuster Shahnameh Movie made?

Hi Mojde,

We agree with you wholeheartedly! It has to be done right. Of course that is quite a difficult task as expectations are now such that only a team with a grand budget will be able to complete this task. The good thing is that we are all talking about it and we agree that it will be done. In fact ..... :)

Because That has been my biggest dream ever. I'm aspiring filmmaker and making Shahnameh into a movie is my biggest passion ever. But this is a big dream, and I like to dream big because it gives me more motivation. This has to be done and has to be done "REALLY GOOD". If not better not not it at all. I've seen part of the 3D animation that has been made, but that's not enough as a movie!
The epic movie has to be the best can be made, not just to make something. We don't want to see something like "300", or "Alexander" or other movies that has been made and gave wrong impression of Persians to people who don't know much about them. I hope someone doesn't just go and make a movie about "Shahnameh" just for the sake of it. This is our CULTURE, we are PROUD of it, and we should remain Proud by letting other nation know about it in the best way possible.
I hope the script Reza Mirkarimi is writing is good enough. If I knew earlier taht he's doing it I would talk to him about it last week when I saw him at Academy of Motion Picture's event and I would partner with him.
Shahnameh will be made into one of the blockbuster hit very soon, I promise you this.

Hi Milad,

We have not seen these images before. Is it a movie that was made in Iran? Do you know where we can find a copy online? It is interesting that the 1st photo shows Rostam holding a skull similar to Hamlet! :) The small change that we would try would be to make him look a little less like Santa Claus and more like a great Warrior (or Pahlevan).

I don't know where you can buy or watch it but I suggest not to try becuase it wasn't even a simple film and because of that Mr. Mirkarimi is going to make a blockbuster one.

But the main thing that I was saying was that everyone making stories of the shahnameh into a film, should know about that times clothing and hairstyle, not to use the paintings because in each age of history the painters made Rostam as the same face of their time but the real one wasn't like that

If you follow the Iranian movies, so Can you choose a Persian actor as Rostam or other characters

of shahnameh to make a blockbuster movie because Reza MirKarimi is going to make one, named

'the SIAVASHNAMEH'

for the first comment i suggest Farhad Ghaemian for Rostam
