Cameron, brodar jhan, are you in touch with the publishers? If so please let them know that I would like to discuss with them honoring one of my former students Sgt. David Roustum, who was killed in action ten years ago. I believe they may be able to help. (Yak dist degah ra, meshuyad.) He's the only alumnus form the school where I taught since I returned from Peace Corps service in Samangan, Afghanistan, who was killed in the Iraq/Afghanistan era. David was recently inducted into the NY State Veterans' Hall of Fame.
His family's name is that of the great pahlawan and his death is eerily similar to Rostam's. You know that the hero often served an imperfect king and may be heroic even in an imperfect mission.
I'll be in the Bay Area in early June, ensh'Allah. My direct contact info is email@example.com and here are a couple of site that outline the efforts that my group has promoted in Khorosan. Please connect to discuss my plan to one again honor the most famous resident of Khorosani hometown, Samangan. (Hamazor Hama Asho Bed)
It's a great pleasure to hear from you. Thanks so much for keeping me posted on Shahnameh events and congratulations on the next phase of the Shahnameh comic release for IPad! You are making us very proud with your timely project in placing Shahnameh along with other world classics, where it belongs and for popularizing it among the second and third generation Iranian-Americans.
I am still involved with Asian Art Museum as contractor for Ancient Persia with Caren Gutierrez. I know Caren would consider it a great honor to invite you and Bruce Bahmani to teachers workshop. Would you like me to forward your email to her? Also, I am very interested to participate as a volunteer/ presenter on Shahnameh since this is the area of my interest. Please let me know if I can by of any help with your project.Shahnameh%20The%20Layering%20of%20Iranian%20Identity%20%26%20Cultural%20Influences.docx
Thanks, it was just one of the default formats. I will be logging in on occasion to see what I can contribute and gain. And thanks for making a great idea real. I think this page can do a lot of good in finding a common bond amongst many Parsis.
